LuitNote ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the LuitNote mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
a) Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication method (Google Sign-In or email/password). If you choose to use the App as a Guest, no personal information is collected.
b) Note Content & User Data
Your notes, folders, checklists, and related content are stored locally on your device. If you sign in, your data is also synced to our secure cloud servers to enable cross-device access. We do not read, analyze, or share the content of your notes.
c) Usage & Analytics Data
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views, feature usage frequency, and session duration. No note content is included in analytics.
d) Crash & Performance Data
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, error logs, and device information to identify and fix bugs.
e) Advertising Data
For free-tier users, we display Google AdMob rewarded ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID), IP address, and interaction data. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
f) Device Information
We collect device type, OS version, app version, and language preferences to ensure compatibility.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide, maintain, and improve the App
To sync your notes across devices (authenticated users only)
To authenticate your identity and manage your account
To display rewarded ads for free-tier users
To send push notifications if you opt in
To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
To provide customer support via in-app chat
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers with HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit. Authentication tokens are stored using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256). We implement SSL certificate pinning to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only with:
Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging)
Google AdMob (Advertising)
Google Play Billing (Premium subscriptions)
5. Collaborative Sharing
When you share a note with another user, only that specific note is shared. You can revoke access at any time.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated server data at any time through the App (Settings → Delete Account). Upon deletion, all data is removed within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access your data, export your notes via Backup, delete your account, opt out of personalized advertising, and withdraw notification consent. For EEA users, you also have GDPR rights including data portability and rectification.
8. Children's Privacy
LuitNote is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
